Story
On Sunday 26th April I'll be taking part in the London Marathon.
I have been an intermediate runner on and off for the last ten years and have applied through the London Marathon ballot on a couple of occasions without success. It was just before Christmas 2014 when I was teaching a pupil of mine by the name of Calum Roberts and we were chatting about my jogging. He mentioned he had a friend who looks after fund raising at Sparks and I was very lucky to get a space to run on behalf of this charity as nearly all of the available spaces were taken.
I've been in training since the beginning of January and the intensity will increase month by month, particularly intensive throughout March and the weeks in April before the race.
I'm really looking forward to the challenge and discipline required to train for and to participate in my first marathon. With your generosity I'm determined to raise as much funds as I can and your donations are greatly appreciated.
