Greater Manchester Marathon 2012 · 29 April 2012 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks everyone for all the support and generous donations.

Unfortunately I was unable to cross the finish line, having pushed through mile 23 and 24 with increasing leg pain I finally pulled up at mile 25 (1 mile from the finish!!!) to stop for first aid and was unable to start again. After a trip to A&E it was discovered I'd fractured my Tibia! I'm on the mend now and looking forward to loosing the crutches and attractive plaster cast!

Thanks again for all your support and helping me raise money for a great cause.
