I am running because a friend of mine recently passed away after a battle with cancer. I don't want to say she 'lost her battle' because in my view she won it. Her attitude was an inspiration to me and I want to honour her. She often spoke of how great Macmillan is and wanted to run this race herself.

I've never run a 10k race before, because I thought running a 10k race would be hard.

Running a 10k race is not hard. Cancer, I'm told, is.
