I have decided to cycle the Etape this year and raise money for Pancreatic Cancer. As some of you will know Corins (my wife) brother has just recently died of Pancreatic Cancer aged just 38 and leaves behind two young children and a wife. 

It is real killer, with survival rates on only 3% mainly because it can go un-detected for so long. Anything that I can do and in turn you, to raise funds to help with the research I will.

The E'tape is a punishing leg of the Tour de France in the Alps. Setting off from Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to La Toussuire.The race is 142 Km and  the three main total climbs 5305 Meters (17,404 Feet). The climbs are at total of 55.9 Km. There is a sweeper vehicle collecting those who can not go quick enough. 

I will be one of 15,000 trying to complete the race in the best time possible. 

I will be doing the hard bit, you have the easy bit, just sponsor me a few pounds and it will all go direct to a very worth while charity.
