Teach Africa provides secondary education for kids living in the worst slums of Nairobi. Half of the 13 year old's that leave primary education and go back into the slum will not see their 25th birthday - we take them out of harms way and invest in their secondary education - creating role models.

Story

Hi All,

I've decided to take the next step up from marathons by pushing a little further into the Ultra-marathon territory!

My main event for this year is a great one in Northampton called "The Shires & Spires".  It's going to be a bit of a challenge (almost another half-marathon on top of a full marathon - without stopping!).

The event is organised by ‘Go Beyond Ultra’ who support ‘Teach Africa’ which is a fantastically worthwhile charity focused on enabling Africans from the most impoverished background to become self-sufficient.  This is done by helping them undertake primary and secondary education (the cost of which would typically make this an impossible dream).

Please take a look at the Teach Africa website and I hope you’ll be moved to make a small sponsorship for this undertaking.

Many thanks,

Dom
