Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Many of you will be aware now that my father, Richard Clarke was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in July 2009. After an incredibly brave and dignified fight, my lovely father, some what suddenly, died on Sunday 28th March. I loved my father very much and am immensely proud to be his son. Suffice to say, this has been devastating for my family, especially my mother, his wife of 40 years who helped nurse him in his final months with great courage.

MND is a non curable terminal disease which slowly renders the sufferer unable to walk, talk, breath properly or feed themselves. It affects approx 5000 people in the and due to it's rarity, it is often difficult to find appropriate physical, emotional and financial support which is why the MND Association (the only recognised charity for those with MND) becomes so important to those patients and their carers/families.

I have decided to run the London Marathon this year and raise over £1500 towards this fantastic charity and need your help to achieve this amount. This will be the toughest physical challenge of my life to date but I have all the motivation I need but need your help.

Please sponsor me to run this event so that I can make my family proud and honour my father's memory!!!

Thank you

Best wishes

Dominic
