Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year to raise money in honour of my Grandfathers I'm doing something a bit different and definitely out of my comfort zone.

Both my grandfathers, Frank Gwyther and Alan Pheby competed in inter service boxing for the RAF and Royal Navy respectively.

Alan went on to win the 1963 ISBA Championships representing the Royal Navy before he turned professional where he boxed under the name Al Downes (BoxRec: Al DownesIn his professional career he fought 9 bouts with a record of 5-3-1.

Sadly something else both grandfathers had in common were their fights with cancer. Both Frank and Alan took on the battle with their typical indomitable spirits, pushing through chemotherapy with inspiring strength.

This year I am going to do my best to make them proud and I'll be fighting as part of the UWCB event on 16th March in Henley.

If you really are desperate to see me get punched please get in touch directly...

Otherwise, any donations to this page would be massively appreciated as I continue my training.

Much love to all, wish me luck.....
