Dogs Trust Freedom Project Week

Dogs Trust Freedom Project · 29 November 2013
The Freedom Project is offered as a free fostering service to families fleeing domestic violence.
£10 will cover the cost of a dog coat to keep one of our Freedom dogs warm on their walks this winter.
£15 will cover the cost of flea and worm treatment at the vets when he first arrives in his new foster home.
£30 will cover the cost of a basic new Starter Pack (lead, collar, bowel and bed) as most families have to leave home in hurry and don’t have time to pack.
£50 will cover the cost of full new Starter Pack (lead, collar, bowel, bed, selection of toys and large bag of dog food).
A £100 donation would cover the cost of looking after a dog on the project for a month.
In some cases the families are able to make a donation either when we are caring for the dog or later on when they are settled in their new homes. However, in many cases they don’t have access to funds, so we cover all the costs of looking after their dog.
Costs include veterinary treatment, dog accessories and food but there are other costs too, such as promoting the service to clients and volunteers and our day to day operational costs.
It costs us an average of £100 per month to care for a dog on the project and dogs stay for an average of 5 months.
Thank you.
