Event: Doddie Cup 500, from 12 February 2022 to 12 March 2022
Participants: Rob Wainwright, Mark Beaumont, Steve Romans, John Schubert
At 10am on 10th February 2022, over 100 cyclists will leave BT Murrayfield Stadium with the match ball for the Doddie Weir Cup. Their aim will be to get to the Principality Stadium, in Cardiff, in time for the KO of the Wales v Scotland match.

Story

My Name'5 Doddie Foundation has ploughed £6.5m into MND research in the last 4 years, and we hope that a breakthrough in treatment will be just round the corner, in time for Doddie, and to help the countless future victims of MND.

This will be the fifth year of riding, each year there’s been a different route and we have always had a fabulous welcome at the rugby clubs we visit en route.  This year, it’s Selkirk RFC, Penrith RFC, Birkenhead RFC, Ruthin RFC, Dolgellau RFC, Aberystwyth RFC, Talgarth RFC, Gloucester RFC, Chepstow RFC and then presenting the ball at Cardiff.  I just hope it does not snow. In the five years of riding this event, it has been transformed through Rob Wainwrights lead and the inclusion of many other riders.

It brings everyone together in spirit for a great cause and for someone who shows inspirational bravery in the face of the most daunting challenge anyone can conceive.  Please help us get over the line.
