Brighton Marathon 2015 in memory of PJS

Brighton Marathon 2015 · 12 April 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Me, Dave and Tom are taking on the Brighton marathon this year. One of the charities we are raising money for is Pancreatic Cancer UK. In the four years since my dad lost his battle with pancreatic cancer we have raised almost £25,000 and for that we are so grateful to everyone who has donated and been involved. The charity ball which we organised a few weeks ago, was a great success and the offline donations seen on this page is the total amount we raised on that night.
Thanks again in advance for any extra donations you would like to make
Below is some information on Pancreatic Cancer UK
Pancreatic cancer is the most fatal form of cancer in the UK with only 3% of patients surviving for 5 years or more – something which hasn’t changed in the last 40 years. Our pancreatic cancer survival rates are the worst of any major cancer and lag behind the US, Canada and Australia.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: Support, Information, Campaigning and research. Following the study for survival in 2011, PCUK launched the Campaign for help which sets out two ambitious goals:
1. To double 5 year pancreatic cancer survival rates
2. To change the NHS experience of pancreatic cancer patients from being one of the worst to one of the best
