Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On August 1st 2015 we will be taking on Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough during our 25-mile, one-day walk in aid of Macmillan.

It's a scary fact that that almost one in every two people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. Reading this, everyone is likely to know someone affected by the disease: be that yourself, a loved one, friend or work colleague. Imagine how difficult that is to hear that you have been diagnosed with cancer. Who would you turn to?

Macmillan work on the ethos that no one should face cancer alone. So when you need someone to turn to, they promise to be there for you; Right from the moment a person, relative, or friend is diagnosed, through the treatment and beyond, Macmillan are a constant source of support, giving a person the energy and inspiration to help them take back control of their life.

Macmillan rely on voluntary donations and fundraising to provide over 98% of their total income. By donating towards this vital cause, you will be helping continued provision of support to those affected by cancer through the dedicated work of Macmillan Nurses and their team.

Thank you so much for your donation today.
