The idea behind @djsagainsthunger is to raise money for the charity FareShare to help combat hunger in the UK. We aim to do this through the power of social media and music. 

(FareShare fights hunger in the UK by redistributing good food which would otherwise go to waste to almost 11,000 frontline charities nationwide. FareShare feeds almost a million people a week but there's an urgent need to do more)

We hope that we can encourage DJs to get on board by recording a mix for @djsagainsthunger, donating £10 (or more) and then nominating 3 DJs to do the same, hopefully this will cause a domino effect and between a lot of people we raise a good sum of money. 

DONATION TARGET CURRENTLY SET AT £1000 BUT WE HOPE TO KEEP HITTING THE TARGET SET AND RAISING IT! EVERY LITTLE HELPS.

We also hope to raise awareness for the hospitality/nightlife sectors by showing just how important they are to a vast number of people via a network of DJs in the UK.

An added bonus will be having mixes from a wide variety of DJs, playing different genres, different abilities and having these stored on SoundCloud whilst also helping to promote each person who gets on board along the way.
