About us
BAME Recruitment and Diversifying.io were created to ensure fair and equal access to opportunities for EVERYONE. We live and work in one of the most diverse countries in the world, but most organisations (including recruitment organisations) do not reflect this.
As a Black, female majority-owned social change organisation, we’re passionate about advocating for issues affecting historically marginalised sections of society.
Nine members of our team have volunteered to run the Asics London 10K to raise money for Disability Rights UK:
Rebecca
Luke
Mark
Rish

Dylan
About the charity
Disability Rights UK works to create a society where everyone with lived experience of disability or health conditions can participate equally as full citizens.
They are disabled people leading change to:
- Mobilise disabled people’s leadership and control – in their own lives, the organisation and society
- Achieve independent living in practice
- Break the link between disability and poverty
- Put disability equality and human rights into practice across society
Their mission is to strengthen the voice of disabled people to make their rights real, as an effective national organisation led by people with a wide range of impairments or health conditions.
The charity receives no government funding for the core of their
work so the money we raise will help them to continue supporting some of the most disadvantaged people in society.
About the challenge
ASICS London 10K is the summer's greatest celebration of running. It’s the most iconic capital city 10K race in the country with live bands, DJs, and cheering fans all along River Thames, Westminster Bridge and by Big Ben.
Some of us are seasoned marathon runners, like Luke and Mark, who’ll be hoping for competitive times. Some of us are running novices, like Rebecca and Dylan, who are just hoping they finish! However, we can guarantee that with our colleagues, family and friends cheering us on, during what will no doubt be a great day, we’ll all be smiling.
