Story
On May 12th 2020 my sons bike was stolen from our back garden after enjoying our daily exercise. The sadness was that the one thing we enjoyed together as a family was taken from us.
However the beautiful thing was that my best friend created a campaign just like this to raise money to get my son Ashton a new bike! The generosity and kindness of so many people blew me away! Within 24 hours we had raised just over £500 and my son was able to get a new bike! An even better one in fact!
People were still wanting to donate once I’d closed the page down and the messages I received of love & support were just so wonderful! I was overwhelmed with the love and so thankful beyond words for the support to get Ashton a new bike so that we could enjoy our family bike rides once again. I’d bought Ashton the bike for his 12th birthday and as a single parent the money didn’t come easy
So why ‘Ashtons Campaign’? Well we believe in the power of God and Romans 8:28 that God takes everything bad and turns it around for the greater good for those who love him.
Our lives were blessed by this campaign set up by my friend and we wanted to extend those blessings and turn this around far greater than we could ever imagine!
Ashton didn’t spend all the money, he had £70 left over, and I’ve just matched that amount to begin this campaign for The Hunger Project. God spoke to me a while back in terms of all the tragedies happening in our world.
Over 21,000 people die each day of starvation. There is enough money in this world to stop Hunger, yet it’s still tragically taking this many lives each day. We wanted to try make an impact into this charity to 1. Raise Awareness and 2. To help save lives and contribute to the mission of The Hunger Project.
Ashtons bike will arrive in around 2 weeks, and as a family we will ride 20 miles, from our home to the end of the Dorset beaches, which is Sandbanks & then back home. My daughter River who will also join us just 6 years old, but has such a heart for those starving in the world. Together with Ashtons new bike, we as a family will ride and raise money for this charity and turn this theft into an incredible blessing.
Please support us in anyway you can. If you cannot afford to donate, please either share the link or just pray for us. No donation is too small and we figured if 2000 people donated £1 we’d meet our target.
So we ask please do all that you can to support us to help feed those starving in the world and make a difference.
