Kew’s charitable mission is to understand and protect plants and fungi for the well-being of people and the future of all life on Earth. To do this, Kew's 350+ scientists are working hard to develop nature-based solutions to some of humanity’s biggest global challenges. For example, Kew have ambitious plans to digitise their entire collection of more than 8 million plant and fungal specimens to open this treasure trove of information to scientists, researchers, conservationists, and citizen scientists across the world.
