Throughout the month of July, I will be reading from the Bible every day as part of Bible Society New Zealand's 'Read for Bibles' fundraiser. I am doing this to help to raise funds for the Bible translation projects that will make it possible for people around the world to access the Word of God in their own heart language for the first time! Did you know, there are still over one billion people without the opportunity to engage with the Bible because it's not available in their language. To address this, in 2017 by the United Bible Societies (which includes Bible Society NZ), developed a 20-year Bible translation roadmap with the goal of translating the Word of God into 1,200 languages by 2038, which will bring the Word of God to 600 million people in their heart language. It is estimated that this roadmap will cost US$500 million to complete. Any support you provide will go towards supporting the Bible translation projects that are on this Bible Translation Roadmap.
