Story
This will be the eighth event we have organised to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Each time we have picked a theme as an excuse to ride monkey bikes around the most picturesque and least populated parts of Yorkshire. This time it is called Munching Monkeys as we intend to stop at some of the best biker friendly cafe's and pubs across both the Dales and the North York Moors.
We will start each day from the Bankstone offices in Brighouse and head out to hopefully cover over 150 miles each day on some of the smallest road legal motorcycles available. We will travel in convoy with a lead car to navigate and support vehicles carrying spare riders, bikes, equipment and fuel. This is a serious test of endurance requiring stamina, concentration and the ability to shrug off the pain caused by the cramped riding positions, inadequate suspension and the battering that only small wheels and large potholes can inflict. Those who complete the event will need plenty of TLC, osteopathy, pain killers and your unwavering gratitude in the form of sizeable donations for what is a fantastic cause.
It costs £12,000 to keep both of the Yorkshire Air Ambulances in the air for one day so this will be our target. Please take part if you can and donate all you are able to help us reach this goal.
