On 9th September 2008 I am flying to to climbMount Kilimanjaro. Unfortunately this time I won't have my work mates for company so I will be meeting up with eleven unknown adventurers to complete the challenge. The trip is completely self funded; all donations shall be going directly to Cancer Research. Climbing Kilimanjaro has been on my 'things to do before I die' list for years so I thought it might be better to do it whilst I am (hopefully) still physically able.  

My father died from lung cancer after a twenty five year battle with the disease and I was also treated successfully for another form some ten years ago. Unfortunately nowadays, we lose a lot of family members and friends from this horrific disease, continued research will save many lives.
