Story
In October (10th) I am taking part in a charity event called the Whole Hog (30+ obstacles for around 5 miles) to support A Brighter Team in aid of Ormiston Families. Not being the most athletic person, I know I haven’t had much enthusiasm at the thought of having to run and climb through mud… in October, but it wouldn’t be as fun to sponsor someone for something they enjoyed to do right? Regardless of my reluctance, I am going to suck it up as this is a really great cause and anything I can raise to support this Charity will be helping a Child in need.
Who are Ormiston Families? Ormiston Families are a Children's Charity who take early and preventative action to support families to be safe, healthy and resilient across the East of England. For 40 years, Ormiston Families have been working with families experiencing trauma, poor mental health, marginalisation, and lack of access to resources and opportunities. The aims are to prevent the cycle of negative intergenerational behaviours, improve their mental health, resilience, self-esteem, independence and reduce the chance of future children ending up in the care system, in prison or at risk of harm.
How can I support? If you want to, there are a couple ways you can support:
- Sponsor - If you would like to sponsor me please click on the this link to the Just Giving page. If you would rather not use Just Giving but still want to sponsor, please let me know as I do have a form which I can complete offline.
- Feed my Delusion – you can also support me by wishing me luck and helping me keep up the idea that this won’t be as bad as I think it will!
Massive thanks in advance 😊
