I'd like to let you all know that on Saturday 12 September I'll be taking part in the Great North Swim.

It's a one mile open water swim in .

I'll be swimming to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support - a charity working to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families.

I'm doing this swim in memory of my Dad who passed away in 2004 after fighting oesophageal cancer.

It would be wonderful if you could spare some money and make a donation to Macmillan to help them continue their work.
