Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2011, at the age of 66, my dad was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Ten weeks later our family were devasted when he was told his illness was terminal. My dad wasn't concerned about himself, but was genuinely empathetic to everyone else suffering with leukaemia and the treatment they underwent.
With a positive attitude and determined spirit my dad soldiered on despite his pain and discomfort, until he sadly lost his battle in July 2013.
My dad loved all sports, and took on the challenge of running the Aberdare half marathon in his 40"s. So, in loving memory of my dad and his battle and determination, I'm taking on my biggest challenge to raise money for this great cause.
