Story

While walking the lovely lanes around our homes in North Yorkshire during lockdown Nik Birkett and Diana Williams hatched up a plan to extend our walks across the North York Moors from Rievaulx to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Grace at Osmotherley.  So we started to build up our training.  On Friday 18th June we will spend the day walking the almost 15 miles from Nik’s home in Rievaulx to the Shrine at Osmotherley.   Several pilgrimage friends will join us, some from the start, and some along the way.

We are raising funds for FOALS to enable those who are unwell (AP's) to go to Lourdes. The fund gives assistance to nurses and others too, ensuring AP's are well supported when we are in Lourdes. We also do our very best to bring the message and gifts we experience in Lourdes back home to those who cannot travel with us, through virtual and face to face events throughout the year.

We hope we will be able to help as many as possible to join us at home this year, and to return to Lourdes as soon as we can.
