Story
The Ashmore Foundation was established in January 2008 using funds from Ashmore employees. It works directly with organisations that meet clearly defined social needs for disadvantaged and low-income groups and which show success in implementing positive change; the countries in which the Foundation works are reviewed regularly and currently comprise Colombia, India, Indonesia and Peru (please also refer to the Ashmore Foundation website here: https://www.ashmorefoundation.org/).
The Foundation is funded solely by Ashmore and its employees globally via a series of ongoing events and annual “challenges”. We have just returned from climbing Mount Triglav in Slovenia and I can assure you that it was indeed a real challenge.
I would really appreciate it if you could support the great work done by the Foundation by sponsoring me. No amount is too small, and all the money you donate will go directly to the Foundation. It's nice to have any recognition - it really does mean a lot to me.
For example, one of our grantees is the Alpina Foundation, which was created in 2008 to contribute to solving the problems associated with rural development in Colombia. In the village of Nazareth, Uribia, these Buffalo bicycles are very useful to transport children to school; the children who live further away from the village and cannot find a place in the boarding school walk to school every day from 2 am or 3 am; they cannot take the donkeys because they only have one or two per house and they are used for agricultural work.
