Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I cycled 10K, it was a challenge as I am a wheelchair user, but I love a challenge and a challenge it was.
This year I am challenging myself to teach my assistance dogs to mush and therefore assist me in my cycling in time for this challenge. My old assistance dogs learnt to mush and pull me, so here's to these 2 doing the same thing. They will be 15 months by this time so it will be a bit of a challange as they are also English Springer Spaniels and by nature of the breed they are a little flighty.
My girl is the doer of the 2 and also the leader between them, so I will be trying to focus her on her job and get him to fall in line. They both come out with me now. I always start by teaching them to run next to me, so they can learn vocal commands and what they mean with the bicycle. So far they are doing great. Because of their age I will not ask them to pull until they are a year, so that will give me just over 2 months to get mushing (pulling) down.
Whatever happens they will enjoy the run and I will enjoy the challenge, so please do give what you feel able to spur us on.
