Story

I’m running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). My twin sister, Sue fell down her stairs last year, resulting in life changing injuries. Sue is now back at home starting her new normal life with the help of family, friends, 24 hours a day carers and Associations like SIA. I’m trying to raise funds for the SIA so they can continue to support my sister and anyone else in need of their specialist help. This will be my first attempt to complete the London Marathon and I’m worried and anxious at the prospect of running 26 miles. I haven’t run for many years, but will be training hard for this challenge. If Sue can face all the hard challenges in her life, so can I! Any money, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Di x
