Story
Clean Break is a women’s theatre company with an independent theatre education programme. Established by two women prisoners in 1979 the charity transforms the lives of women offenders and women at risk of offending through the unique power of high quality theatre education in the community and in prisons across the UK and through professional theatre productions on the main stage. Clean Break has outstanding outcomes, changing lives and changing minds.
This year marks Clean Break's 40th anniversary and we are taking part in 40 challenges to raise money to support the company's vital work.
I have chosen to complete the Olympic Westminster distance event of The London Triathlon, which consists of a 1.5k swim at the Royal Victoria Dock, a 40km cycle from the ExCel Centre to Westminster and back (plus a smaller lap to Billingsgate) and a 10k run back at the London Docklands. I am thrilled to be taking part in such a grand sporting event and joining thousands of athletes on this iconic route.
