Story
Cat and Leon are RUNNING UP, CLIMBING HIGH - 3 CLIMBS, 105 FLOORS, 2,631 STEPS - of Broadgate Tower to raise funds for Action Duchenne (Muscular Dystrophy) because Dexter has a diagnosis and we want to help find a cure.
Dexter's Dash - why we are RUNNING UP, CLIMBING HIGH on 20th July 2019:
- RUNNING to raise awareness - Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a muscle wasting condition that affects over 2,000 people in the UK, mostly boys and young men.
- UP for understanding - DMD is a life limiting condition. Because over time the muscles in the body stop working, the young person will need a wheelchair and eventually help with breathing. Heart failure follows.
- CLIMBING for a cure - There are currently no treatments available to benefit the lives of these young people and their families. There is no cure for DMD.
- HIGH for hope - We know that every penny raised will go directly to Action Duchenne to fund valuable technology, trials and treatments.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our RUNNING UP, CLIMBING HIGH goals.
How you can help: You are aware that Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is rare and now have a better understanding of how devastating a diagnosis can be, especially as there is no cure or treatments available.
YOU CAN HELP ACTION DUCHENNE TO PROVIDE HOPE TO DMD FAMILES LIKE DEXTER AND HIS FAMILY BY DONATING TO OUR FUNDRAISING - DEXTER'S DASH
Thank you - Cat and Leon
