In memory of My Late Mother
Story

I have committed to cycling over 70 miles from London to Hastings on 1st April 2017. This is in aid of fundraising for a Health and Education Centre in Bangladesh.
As you know, I lost my Mother back in 2010. My mother suffered from multiple organ failures and spent her last year in and out of hospitals, one of them being in the Capital of Bangladesh. I remember witnessing many patients being turned away simply because they could not afford it. This certainly broke my heart, only if I could do something about it. My mother came back to UK all healthy, however months later passed away. Just before she died I pledged to do more for charity particularly for healthcare in poor countries.
Most of us are fortunate to have access to free education and health, unfortunately many of the poor community of Bangladesh have no access at all.
The people of Panchigarh, Bangladesh have been without government support for 60 years and are now desperate for social and development services to help the destitute people. It is our plan to build a School and a Health Clinic.
We will build the health centre is for women and their expectant babies. Due to a lack of health provisions the mortality for expectant mothers and their new born babies is one of the highest in Bangladesh.
The literacy is very low and children need elementary education before they can enrol into high mainstream education. Together we will build a education centre to make change in the children's future.
I have never cycled on the roads before. Training stepped up a gear in the new year, I am now regularly taking part in weekend cycle sessions across London, Luton, Kent and even Southend.
While the training is tough it is such a fantastic opportunity to raise a lot of money for a great cause and I will be inspired by the incredible courage and dignity shown by you and all my supports right to the end.
