Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Imagine living on the streets without your parents or families? How would you feel or cope? Imagine you had to live in Brothels - not a choice you make? We are very fortunate to living in modern families’ home with all sorts of contemporary amenities.

Should a child grow up in the streets or in a Brothel?

Before my Mother left this world, I made one pledge, and that is to help the poor and those in need. Together with your recent help I have assisted with making a Health and Education centre, and supported Missing People Charity.

Now I am planning to support on ground level, I will be travelling across Bangladesh over 2 weeks. I will personally meet young Children on the streets and Brothels.

With your financial support and through Muslim Charity I can rescue Children and re-unite with their families. So please dig deep and support, together we can make save these Children from danger and make a difference.

Please note Zakah can be taken for this cause.

Background:

There are an estimated 20,000 children who live in brothels in Bangladesh and countless thousands around the world. Born into an environment where they are groomed at a very early age and engulfed into a world of sexual abuse, torture and violence. They are marginalized from the community and find it difficult to enrol into mainstream schools and society in general due to the stigma of been child of a sex worker.

Children as young as 5-6 help their mothers by cleaning the rooms after a client visit. They handle dirty used paraphilia as well as being exposed to drugs like Yabba. Young girls are groomed and are forced into prostitution from a very young age where they are abused and sold for a few pounds to countless men.

Some of these children are lured from the villages from their parents with a hope of working as a domestic maid. Others are knowingly sold to pay for family debts. Those that are running away from abuse and end up on the streets are eventually trafficked into sexual exploitation and end up in the brothels.

Children develop severe mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and often self-harm. Children lack confidence and are either suspicious or petrified of any male interaction.

Muslim Charity have been working with vulnerable children in Bangladesh for a number of years and have successfully rescued over 1,000 children from evils of the street. The Charity have rescued children who have been in bonded sexual slavery and reunited lost children with their families.

So please support me so I can support more children from danger.
