Story

Three years ago, I met one of the most courageous men I've ever met: Euan MacDonald.

Euan suffers from Motor Neurone Disease and is completely unable to speak or move apart from his head and eyes. He communicates through a speaking device that tracks his eye movements. He breathes through a respirator that is with him 24 hours a day. He cannot eat and he can barely feel his own body.

Despite all this, Euan is one of the lucky ones.

For most, MND (and ALS) is a horrific process where family and friends watch their loved ones slowly deteriorate to complete paralysis and death. Euan spends every waking moment of his own life to raise awareness and money for crucial research that may some day unlock this and other terrifying neurological afflictions.

His Charity, The Euan MacDonald Centre for MND Research, provides direct funding to a world-leading team located at Edinburgh University. In support of Euan and this research, I am running the Edinburgh Half-Marathon to raise yet more awareness and critical funding for this potentially life-saving research.

Please help!

Every penny counts. Please help us beat MND/ALS for good!
