A donation made to the Deutsche Bank UK - Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal will go to the British Red Cross and be restricted to their provision of vital aid in Turkey and Syria.

The British Red Cross has launched an emergency fundraising appeal in response to three devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Reports suggest that more than 44,000 people have died, with many more injured.  The earthquakes are estimated to have directly impacted over 23 million people.

Turkish Red Crescent and Syrian Arab Red Crescent teams are on the ground helping their communities and providing urgent humanitarian relief and supporting the rescue efforts.

The money raised will help the relief work on the ground being provided by the Turkish and Syrian Red Crescent teams, which is responding to this emergency. In the unlikely event that the British Red Cross raises more money than can be reasonably and efficiently spent in Turkey or Syria, any surplus funds will be used to help them prepare for and respond to other disasters / emergencies worldwide.
