Story
I'm raising money from my daily Podcast, Destination Tokyo, talking to athletes and pundits in the run up to the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
I'm inviting listeners to drop the price of a coffee if they enjoy it or make a small donation. The athletes are giving their time for free, as am I.
2020 was a strange year for all of us. I should have been reporting from the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. For us, as a family, we were shaken on lockdown day when my wife Sophie was diagnosed with bowel cancer.
She had major surgery on her birthday, nearly two weeks in hospital and brutal chemotherapy.
Maggie's Centre has been fantastic - giving advice, support and a space to feel listened to and cared for. So this is my way of saying thank you.
And thank you - in anticipation - for the donation.
