Story
The Booth Centre was founded in 1995 and after operating from a room within Manchester cathedral moved to their premises currently on Pimblett Street, Manchester.
The centre assists the homeless of Manchester with a range of activities and initiatives and offers facilities that a lot of people take for granted. Visitors there can get a cooked meal, a shower, access to IT equipment etc. They also organise a wide range of activities for homeless people to get involved with, the centre provides positive experiences in order to help build self-respect and self-confidence.
In February 2020 I decided I wanted to take on a challenge and I have decided to enter Ironman UK race on the 04th of July 2021. The race consists of a 2.1 mile swim which takes place at Pennington Flash Country Park, a 112 mile bike course through the northern country side and finishing with a 26.2 mile run (full distance marathon) to complete.
