Story
Back in April 2016 a good friend and former rugby playing colleague called Lee Whillock received the news that following a PET scan, cancerous tumours had been found in between his gullet and small stomach. Quite a rare form of NET cancer was diagnosed and an 18 week course of chemo was prescribed.
Lee is only is his mid-40s and relatively fit and finished his first course of chemotherapy in Sept 2016, returning for a scan which initially showed that the cancers had in almost every area reduced by 99%. A follow up scan and consultation in Jan 2017 unfortunately showed that the cancer had returned and Lee yet again has embarked on an intensive course of Chemo planned to last for 24 weeks.
