Story

Thank you for reading this page.  We all have experience of a family member or friend who has had to deal with cancer.  This cycling event is an excellent way to hopefully raise money to support these vital Cancer Care centres.

From a personal perspective, I want to honour my old friend, Charlie O'Rourke, who passed away suddenly from pancreatic cancer 12 months ago, aged just 58.  Also, very poignantly, this cycle route goes right past the home on Aberavon Beach where my mother lived before finally losing her battle with lymphoma.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
