I am trying to raise money for Birmingham City Mission's work with the homeless by taking part in their 'Sponsored Sleepout'.

The event was a great success, with 80 people sleeping out in cardboard boxes and under plastic sheeting. Although it rained at 3.00am it did not dampen the spirit of those taking part, the atmosphere was terrific. Thanks to all who sponsored my effort at 'sleeping rough'.

Every week, on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings, BCM operate their 'Care Centre' where almost 50 people each night receive food and have the opportunity to hear the Gospel. Every month, through the Mission's 'Resource Centre', almost 200 people also receive food parcels.
