Story
Our very highly respected Head of UCAS and Careers, Mr Andy
Wray, was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) earlier this year.
Mr Wray has helped give direction and support to thousands
of pupils at Denstone College over the years. His knowledge and input at a hugely important stage for pupils is very much appreciated.
Founded in 2002, AMMF is the UK’s only cholangiocarcinoma
charity. One of AMMF’s major objectives is to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis, and effective treatments for cholangiocarcinoma.
The girls in Moss Moor and the boys in Senior School would
like to show our support for Mr Wray, and others experiencing a similar
situation, by raising money for AMMF. The girls in Moss Moor and boys in Senior School will be running from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back (around 1,470 miles all together) throughout lockdown.
We understand that these are difficult times for a lot of
people, but if you could show your support by donating to our page, any donation, big or small, will be much appreciated and will go towards helping this very important cause.
Thank you for your support from Moss Moor and Senior School.
