Those of you that know me will be aware that my mum lost her short battle with cancer in May this year, at the age of only 54. As a result, I decided to take part in this year's Cancer Resarch UK Relay For Life, at Harvey Hadden stadium on Saturday and Sunday 2/3 July.

In her final days, mum was insistent that we try and raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research, so I am asking you to help me honour her wishes.

Although Cancer Resaerch UK have made great strides towards winning the battle against cancer, the type of cancer contracted by mum had previously not been seen by the surgeons. This demonstrates how important it is that we continue to raise money, to help Cancer Research UK win the fight.
