Story
(Willow Wood Hospice cared for both my parents just before they passed away within 18 months of each other. I have no siblings and felt totally lost. I didn't know what to do first, who to contact or anything but Willow Wood was there for me afterwards and pointed me in the right direction. Not only do they show such care and dignity for the patients this is also carried on afterwards to the families. It doesn't just end once someone has died it continues on as long as the families need support. A few years later I started working for Willow Wood as a shop manager and still continue to do this. I enjoy getting involved in fundraising and did the sponsored Zipwire in Wales which was amazing and raised over £500 for that. This Sahara Trek is totally different though. It's going to be tough going but I'm determined to complete it and need to raise at least £2500 for the Hospice through sponsorships. The Hospice needs over £2.5 million a year to continue to give local people the help and support they need and I'm going to do my bit again. I know it's not much £2500 but to Willow Wood it means so much more.
