Young people today often feel under a great deal of pressure, whether it be to succeed in exams, maintain relationships or to look or act in certain ways. These stresses can have a significant impact on both physical and emotional health. Our long history of supporting people with alcohol and substance addiction issues, and the running of our youth programmes, meant that we are acutely aware of the importance of early education around alcohol and substance misuse.
We launched Think Differently in 2016 to deliver unique and proactive alcohol and substance education to secondary schools pupils age 11-18 in Kent and Medway. The aim is for young people to gain a better understanding of the effect substance misuse has on physical and mental health, emotional wellbeing, relationships and future achievements.
