Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On January 1st 2022 I set out on my personal challenge of walking 650 miles, in an attempt to get a little fitter and to raise awareness of St Leonard's Hospice@Home. I have never set myself such a challenge, and I am not rushing, (I hope this will take me to the end of June a total of 26 weeks) but I know when I get to the 650th mile I will have achieved something worthwhile, and hopefully raised some money for a fantastic cause with the help from you good people.
Why 650 miles(?) I hear you ask, well 650 (land) miles represents the distance from York to Rhudesheim in Germany, where I am going on tour with my good friends from the band Generation Groove.
Both myself and some band members have been affected with loved ones, friends or neighbours being diagnosed with cancer. So St Leonard's, being a local Hospice, seemed the obvious charity to support.
The money raised will go to St Leonard's Hospice@Home who are there to care for these people and their families when the help is needed the most, caring for people in their own homes.
If you feel you could help support St Leonard's and donate I would be so grateful as will the Hospice.
To quote a slogan "Every Little Helps".
Thank you so much.
P.S. As we are now on day 25 of my challenge you may like to know as of today 25/01/2022 at 12.42 I have walked 125.36 miles only another 524.64 to go
