Story
I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 2nd April to raise funds for a friend’s small charity, The Harvey Hext Trust, based locally to me in the Chew Valley. Sarah Hext set up the charity in memory of her gorgeous son, Harvey. The Harvey Hext Trust provides specialist bespoke wooden Memory boxes for bereaved children. Memory boxes promote positive mental health in children by offering a safe environment for them to explore their emotions. The charity helps children to understand they are not alone in their grief and eventually to be able to celebrate the life of the person who has died and smile when they think of them. They work with bereavement services across the country and have supported hundreds of children and with your help, they will continue to offer this vital gift service to as many children as possible.
I am very much out of my comfort zone having not run this far in years, but have started my training and very much hope not to make a show of myself! My work will also match any fundraising I achieve by 200%, which I am very grateful for. Thank you for your support xx
