Story
One piece of equipment already funded by the event is a Myosure device which is helping consultants at the hospital to investigate possibly early signs of cancer in the womb for hundreds of patients.
The proceeds raised from this year’s walk will help Bournemouth Hospital’s gynaecological consultants get an ultrasound scanner which will enable consultants to examine patents with postmenopausal uterine bleeding more clearly than ever before. It will also remove the need for patients who are cancer-free to have unnecessary and invasive further intervention. Other projects will include funding noise-cancelling headphones to help patients relax through music in the treatment environment and a new fresh water dispenser.
The Bournemouth Hospital Charity depends on events such as this to raise money for essential, targeted projects designed to improve our care and treatment environment . So thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thanks in advance for helping - we will all need these services at some point, or someone we know and love dearly - please help us to help and support each other.
