Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself, Mark, Neil and David will be ‘just for the fun of it’, taking part in a 10k military style assault course on Saturday 4 August 2012 in the lovely Lake District, to raise money for ‘Help the Heroes’.

Whilst most sane people go to the Lakes for a stroll around Lake Windermere, with an ice cream in their hand. We will be legging it over 10k of rugged terrain, crossing 4 rivers and completing 25 specially designed obstacles, including: a Human BBQ, Ball Breaker, Worm Muncher and Peaks of pain. (Check out http://www.totalwarrior.co.uk/course.php)

Our team is called ‘3 MEN and an OLD LADY’, which Im sure your agree is very apt.

Whilst the boys will be flexing their muscles (ladies, I know you have been checking the photo out. And I agree they look like Yorkshire’s own version of the Dream Boys), I’ll be on my zimmer frame seeing if I can bag myself my own ‘Hero’ to carry me around the course.

I know times are hard, but if you could find it your heart to dig deep and sponsor us, we will make you proud and complete the course in the quickest time possible.

Cheers, Denise, Mark, Neil and David x x
