Story
Thanks for supporting Marie Curie's Liverpool Hospice.
Liverpool Marie Curie Hospice do really important work. Nurses at Liverpool Hospice work night and day, and they support families emotionally going through an awful, traumatic time in their lives. They provide hands-on care and vital emotional support, with the Hospice offering specialist round the clock care. It is an amazing local facility, giving Liverpool families the best care and creating a positive experience for them at a very difficult time in life.
To support Marie Curie, on 22-30 May 23, I will be trekking for 5 days through the Borneo jungle. I will be walking each day through the mountain forest for 6-9 hours, learning how to survive in the wild, how to set up camp and sleeping each night in a hammock. I will need to forage for food and find frogs to eat.
I like my home comforts and hate creepy crawlies and leeches so this is not going to be easy! I am nervous about doing this event and I need to be both mentally and physically fit as the days are long. The trekking is through primary and secondary jungle and the temperature is hot, wet and muggy.
I am really grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Thank you for your support xx
