After 30 incredible years at Deutsche Bank and some 39 years at work, I will be hanging up my keyboard and retiring from DB this coming January.  So....I thought, what a wonderful parting shot it would be to help raise funds for DB's Charities of the Year by cycling with 24 colleagues from Munich to Venice. 

This is my toughest challenge yet with 5 long, consecutive days in the saddle.  The 600km route looks stunning but has some tough challenges along the way.  I’m training hard and aim to give this my best shot. My parting shot.    

Please could I therefore ask you all to dig deep and contribute what you can to these very worthwhile charities.  Every little really does help and knowing that I've blasted my fund raising target will help drive me up and across those mountains and on to Venice.

I'd like to add that we are all funding our own travel and accommodation expenses so every penny pledged will go to the charities.
