Story

Denbighshire Carers to take on walking challenge to celebrate working in care.

Care Workers from across Denbighshire County Council will be taking on their very own three peaks challenge on September 25th.  They will be walking three of the toughest walks in Denbighshire; Gwaenyesgor, Moel Fammau and Castell Dinas Bran in Llangollen a total of 3473 ft.  The aim of the walk is to highlight and celebrate the role of carers in Denbighshire, supporting the WeCare.Wales campaign being run by Social Care Wales.  They will also be raising money for the Alzheimer’s society.

The group will involve staff from different roles across Denbighshire including, carers, support workers, domestics, seniors and managers.  The message is a simple one – Working in care is a rewarding career choice with lots of opportunities.  Denbighshire Care and support  staff have played an invaluable role  on the front line, providing care and support for some of the most vulnerable citizens within Denbighshire during the COVID-19 pandemic

If you are interested in working in care in Denbighshire please contact by email or phone hrdirect@denbighshire.gov.uk or 01824706200 with the reference WeCare Recruitment.
