We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia

Story

The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.

After my 2020 ballot place for the London Marathon got postponed… it was then done virtually on a very wet day! My place then got postponed again and now it is back in April it is finally my chance to run around London for 2023!!

This time it was easy to think of a charity I would like to raise money for and bring awareness to. Running for my nanny Rose will make this run even more special for me and I know whatever I can raise will help make a difference.

Thank you for whatever you can donate :)

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
