Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are five people hiking 26 miles in the Peak District on 24th September as part of Alzheimer's Research UK's Explorer Hike 2022.

We all work for, or have a connection to, Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) – a dementia research organisation based at Oxford University. DPUK is funded by the Medical Research Council, private companies and charities to help speed up efforts to find much-needed new treatments, diagnostics and prevention strategies for dementia.

Funding research into dementia is vitally important if we are to reduce its impact on people in the UK and around the world. Alzheimer's Research UK is a fantastic charity – we are delighted to be supporting them and are grateful for any and all donations!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
