Story
I am a refugee from Syria. I lost my leg in 2012 because of the war; a bomb fell on my home. I've been living in the UK since 2017.
My message is that we must connect with all people in the world, and I say to anyone with a disability that it is still possible to be strong and to live your life. I feel really happy when I help others face their problems, help them to think positively, and push them to keep going.
I am going to walk and run for refugees because I want to help other people and make them feel happy. I know how hard it is to be a refugee as I have had that experience myself.
the influx of Syrian refugees to Jordan, Souriyat Across Borders has been at the forefront working hard to support the Syrian refugees’ resilience. Because they were really close to the community of refugees, they noticed the specific needs of people who lost their limbs during the war and tried to address their needs comprehensively. They established a residency center of 5 floors offering medical care, physical therapy, vocational trainings, and psychosocial support. That center wasn’t just a response center, rather, it was a family to everyone that needed support and it helped them bounce back and adapt to the new conditions. Today, SAB needs our support to continue its programmes and to reach everyone that needs their support. They believe that all people should have equal rights and access to education and livelihoods opportunities. Please donate to my fundraising and share the page link to reach the target and fulfill their humanitarian mission
